Data migration

Assignment

A bank had decided to replace its current bank platform with a solution from a new supplier. Our assignment was make sure that data was migrated in a safe way. It was also or responsibility to make sure there was no unplanned negative effects on either internal nor external aspects of our client´s business.

Project scope

Addsights assignment was to project manage the migration. Strategies were developed for both overall and product area migrations. In depth analysis resulted in specifications describing how information in the current platform should be mapped in the new platform. Rules, routines and basis for decision-making controlling technical and financial reconciliation was set up making it possible to secure a complete and consistent migration. During the process we undertook several test migrations. The actual migration was conducted iteratively and in steps as the content grew in size and complexity.

Results

• The project delivered according the time plan.
• The technical and financial reconciliation methodology developed in the project
  was proven to be a success.
• The client has entrusted Addsight with new projects.
